Dr. Mohamed Gomaa Seadawy is a distinguished Egyptian scientist and Head of the Biodefense Center for Infectious and Emerging Diseases at the Ministry of Defense, Cairo. He holds a Ph.D. in Genetics and Cell Biology from Fayoum University and possesses over a decade of expertise in vaccinology, next-generation sequencing (NGS), molecular virology, and infectious disease research. Dr. Seadawy has authored more than 45 peer-reviewed publications in high-impact international journals, contributing significantly to genomic surveillance, vaccine development, and antimicrobial resistance studies, with a Scopus h-index of 11. He has led several nationally funded projects, including the establishment of BSL-3 laboratories and the development of Egypt’s biodefense strategy.
