Juan Carlos Amilibia Gómez is a biologist with over a decade of experience in conservation science, applied ecology, protected area assessment, and geospatial analysis. His expertise spans GIS, remote sensing, environmental impact evaluation, biodiversity monitoring, and spatial data management across large-scale conservation initiatives. As a GIS Specialist at Provita and an active member of RAISG, he has contributed to regional assessments of deforestation, protected areas, and socio-environmental pressures in the Amazon. He has co-authored scientific publications addressing urban sustainability, microplastics, and Amazonian ecological challenges. His work integrates field research, spatial modeling, database administration, and science communication, supporting evidence-based decision-making for conservation policy. Through collaborations with NGOs, academic institutions, and international networks, he has strengthened environmental governance and contributed to long-term strategies for biodiversity protection and sustainable territorial planning in Venezuela and the Amazon region.
