Prof. Łukasz Kruk is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Computer Science and Mathematics, Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS), Lublin, Poland. He holds a PhD in Mathematics from the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences, New York University, and a habilitation from UMCS. His research expertise lies in stochastic networks, real-time and queueing systems, singular stochastic control, diffusion and fluid limits, and market microstructure modeling. Prof. Kruk has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications in leading international journals such as Mathematics of Operations Research, SIAM Journal on Control and Optimization, and Annals of Applied Probability, and his work is widely cited within probability, operations research, and applied mathematics communities. He has collaborated internationally with researchers in the USA and Europe, contributing foundational results with practical relevance to telecommunications, service systems, and financial modeling.
