Her studies have provided critical insights into TRPV1 inhibitors, novel anticancer agents, and autophagy-related molecular mechanisms, bridging the gap between traditional herbal medicine and modern pharmacology. Beyond academic publications, Ms. Li has co-invented several national patents in China, covering innovative alkaloid derivatives, sesquiterpenoids, and bioactive extraction methods, which showcase her translational approach from bench research to potential industrial applications. She has participated in multiple National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and regional research projects, focusing on the pharmacological basis of natural compounds and their therapeutic mechanisms in disease models. Through close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, Ms. Li’s research contributes to drug discovery, public health improvement, and the scientific validation of traditional Chinese medicines. Her work not only enhances the understanding of medicinal plant chemistry but also promotes the sustainable utilization of natural resources for developing novel therapeutic agents. Ms. Mei-Shan Li continues to advance the frontiers of natural product chemistry with a vision to integrate innovation, sustainability, and societal benefit in her scientific pursuits.
