The identified targets may be utilized to develop anti-TB agents effective against drug-resistant isolates. His supervisor during this time was Dr. Javaid A Shaikh. Prior to this, from 15-01-2019 to 04-08-2022, Mr. Ali worked as a Project Assistant at Jamia Hamdard, focusing on determining the effect of FDA-approved drugs against M.tb. He evaluated the efficacy of selected drugs against M.tb in vitro and ex vivo, using molecular docking, simulation, and biophysical methods to predict their binding affinity and effect with target proteins. His supervisors during this period were Prof. S. E. Hasnain and Dr. Sonam Grover. Currently, since 04-01-2021, Mr. Ali is pursuing his Ph.D. at Jamia Hamdard under the guidance of Prof. S. E. Dr. Motasem Alsmadi is an Associate Professor of Biopharmaceutics and Pharmacokinetics with a joint appointment between the Nanotechnology Institute and the Pharmaceutical Technology Department at Jordan University of Science and Technology (J.U.S.T). He earned his BSc in Pharmacy, ranking first in his class, from J.U.S.T in 2009. Subsequently, he pursued graduate studies in Pharmaceutical Technology at The University of Iowa, completing his Ph.D. in December 2014. Afterward, he worked as an Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutical Technology at the Pharmacy School at J.U.S.T until September 2020, during which time he also served as an Assistant Dean at the Pharmacy School and the Graduate Studies School.

In September 2020, Dr. Alsmadi was promoted to an Associate Professor, and in January 2023, he was appointed as a Joint Professor in the Nanotechnology Institute. In this capacity, he taught graduate-level courses and supervised master’s students at the Nanotechnology Institute, in addition to his involvement in teaching undergraduate (B.Sc and Pharm D.) and graduate (MSc and Ph.D.) courses and supervising master’s students at the Pharmacy School. The research endeavors of our team have yielded fruitful outcomes, with a total of 10 research projects successfully completed and ongoing. The cumulative impact factor of our publications over the last 3 years underscores our commitment to high-quality research.

Regrettably, the number of countries visited for research activities remains at zero.
